Chris Lowe:

It is very frustrating. It's not just one person, it's everyone that was put in that game- all ten of us. We gave them this game. We didn't even fight. They are very athletic team. They don't have a dominant five or four man. They get out and run. You can't make excuses, but it was hard for us when we have Luke as a traditional five man. He plays in the post, but their five man plays on the wing. You can't make any excuses. They had a better night than us. They were more athletic than us.
It's sort of odd to hear Lowe call Bonner a traditional five man. I would say he's far from a traditional five man. He throws up 3's more than any traditional five I've seen recently, and when the guy plays down low he gets minimal rebounds (I think he's averaging a little over 5 per game and only .7 blocks per game, which is pretty pathetic of a 7 footer who gets a lot of playing time). My idea of a traditional big man is someone like Thabeet or Monroe who play down low, grab boards, and rarely shoot 3's. Bonner is big - but I would never call him a traditional big five.
I think it was his way of calling him slow

Gary Glitter's tune....

On the one hand it was good to hear it played again. On the other, even though it was played during UMass' comeback, to hear the 20 or so students who were there yelling "you suck" at the doooookquezneee players while they were kicking UMass' ass was laughably absurd and emabrassasing.

I missed the resurrection of 'the hey song', which hasn't been played in AT LEAST 5 years, (anyone have a more specific estimation as to the last time they played it?) the one semester I go away? Fantastic. Though this was an awful game as a whole, I've only seen one other half-court shot in the 15 years or so I've been attending games (Holy Cross), and miss the hey song, sounds like a decent game to be at.
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

Hasn't been played in 3+ years by the band. It was played a few games ago as part of one of the "this moment in UMASS Basketball history.." segments, but not by the band in years. It felt sooooooooooooo good to hear! :D

Don't know if anyone saw this, but apparently Ronnie's following this year's team much more closely than in the past...nice headline Ron:

...might Cialis be in order? Viagra? Could result in some embarassing man-on-man situations (not that there' anything wrong with that)...

OK I'll let it go now.
Llewelyn Moss: Is uh, Carson Wells there?
Anton Chigurh: Not in the sense that you mean.

I don't think he picks the headlines... usually the editor does that, no? But the headline should have been "UMASS can't keep up" if I read the article correctly.

Regardless, this is pretty funny! :P
