Hoop Hall Classic

Post by TheInsider » Wed Jan 14, 2009 10:27 am

This weekend is the big touney at Springfield College. All the top teams will be there. Sunday at noon we will have the chance to see Sampson Carter play, and then stick around till 6 when we get to see Freddie Riley play.

Is there a schedule and list of teams / roster anywhere?

Wish they would stop saying OJ Mayo played at the event in 2007, because he never did.

Freddie Riley will be going to the game vs. Temple on Saturday night according to Facebook. Not sure about Sampson

OJ Mayo played in the durham hoophall classic - so I guess in theory he did play in a hoophall classic run by the hall of fame. I probably wouldn't have included him in the advertising for the Springfield event, but not going to change the fact that this is the best field ever...

Ahh, thanks for explaining that delkins. I guess it makes some sense, though there is no reason to advertise it like he played there. They show it like he played in Springfield. It's silly. The quality of players and teams is great even without him. Lying about him playing there makes them look bad.

For those of you with Comcast, Comcast Sports Net (the channel that shows the celtics) is broadcasting the DeMatha game right now.

Anyone see or hear how Riley did last night (6:00 game)?
This is the most enjoyable losing season ever!

Because of the big lead he didn't get much PT in the second half.

Matty V has a good story about him today in the Snazette...
