Rigo Nunez

Post by Rocks22 » Tue Nov 07, 2006 11:09 am

There were plenty of players more talented than Rigo to wear a UMass uniform, but not many would be able to match the energy he brought to the court. Defintely one of my favorite Minutemen.

Here's an article from the Lawrence paper:

He was my alter ego in Nerf basketball (is it a Massachusetts thing to call it 'puff basketball'?) :P

I'll always love Rigo for the flop against St. Joe's. 8)

I think Young Frankentelli is still whining about that call. :)

Disappointing article. They could have done so much more with a story on Rigo. One of my all time favorites. I can remember being a little kid and having Rigo (as well as Danta Bright and Andre Berks) be the only guy to remember my face each time I saw him. It was thrilling. Glad to see he's doing well at a great college in Lewis and Clark.

Rigo set the bar pretty high for walk-ons in terms of appealing to the fan base.
