Re: Mid-season MAC check-up
Buffalo bills themselves as New York's SUNY flagship campus, and they are members of the AAU, which we have not yet been able to achieve. Ohio is a good school, but I think UBuffalo is a better model for a MAC partner.

Re: Game 23, 2024-25: SLU (2/4)
OK so I'm sad. I looked for a local preview article for tonight's game. Nothing from the Gazette, nothing from the Collegian.
The Collegian is trying. They usually offer a couple of things after each game, especially home. Just a little bummed that they didn't produce something for arguably our ...

Re: Game 20, 2024-25: GW (1/22)
The biggest negative tonight was giving up 26 points off turnovers. Gotta work on that. After VCU and maybe Dayton and GMU, the rest of the A10 is a crapshoot.

They get a week off now. Frank's practices appear to be bearing fruit, so maybe this is a good thing.

Re: Game 20, 2024-25: GW (1/22)
^ Wow, I forgot all about that. That explains why the game preview on the GW website said UMass and GW are the only charter members. The A10 opponents I will miss the most are GW, URI and St. Joe's.

Re: Game 20, 2024-25: GW (1/22)
Lot of history here as fellow A10 charter member GW visits Amherst for the last time in conference play. When UMass leaves for the MAC, the only remaining charter members of the Eastern Eight, the A10's forerunner, will be GW and Duquesne. Many great memories, especially the Calipari-Jarvis years ...

Let's dispense with the Liam Coen speculation. Liam has done such a good job as Tampa Bay OC that he is now in the conversation for an NFL head coaching job.

Re: 2024 Game 1: vs. Eastern Michigan
The defense is still way too soft. It seemed on many possessions that the EMU offense had 5 yards on us before the play even took shape. To offset this, we need to score a lot of points, and that starts with the offensive line. I will say there appeared to be some improvement there in the second half.

Re: 2023-24 Season
I went through the UMass site, and while the tickets themselves were not that expensive, the total purchase becomes so after paying the legalized thievery known as Ticketmaster fees.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Cohen participated in Senior Day, just Cross and Marcus. Senior Day has become kind of an anachronism these days, huh?LS71 wrote: Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:59 pm Somebody on this board posted that Senior Day participants do not return the following season.

The A10 is putting on a great show. Almost all of these games have been very good.

Re: A10 Standing/Seeding Changes Discussion
1 and 2 are quite possible. Can't see Bona losing to GW and SLU. Let's just take care of business against Fordham and hopefully get the 5.

Re: Festivus Holiday Post: Airing of Grievances About the Mullins Center (aka The Bill)
The trophies are on display upstairs in the Hall of Fame area next to the athletic offices and the reception room overlooking the arena. This area is open to the public, although I think they restrict access before and during games to members of the booster clubs. If I had to guess, I'd say they ...

Re: KAEO Reggie (RJ) Luis
I was there. Pitino went to the foul line with the deer-in-the-headlights look. When Stacom got the rebound, his eye was on the basket all the way up the floor as if he knew he was going to hit the winning shot. What a difference.
