And one more thing: As written in the article players were on probation/academic warning; how does that equate to the UMass administration looking the other way???????? The school was never found to have done anything wrong in regards to "looking the other way."

It should've made UMass look good because the players were given the grades they had earned--good and bad...

Fuckley should've done his homework before writing that crap.

If Buckley or anyone else wants to rip Camby a new one over this, they have that right. But to take down Padilla, Travieso, etc -- or any player since then -- is ridiculous.

Now refresh my memory -- Didn't Cal put all sorts of restrictions in place on who could talk to Camby during that year in an effort to keep the scumbag agents away? Seems to me Cal did what he could and the scumbag agent circumvented the rules to get at Camby.

So don't blame Cal -- seems like he did what he could.

This is just more typical "make BC look like they are holier than thou" BS that makes me hate BC more than my worst ex girlfriends...

Kristen Lappas and a BC fan is probably one in the same. I'd guess probably a UConn fan who are very bitter as of late jumping off of their team's stumbling band wagon

Coach Lappas gave it a shot in Amherst and it didn't work out for him, the University or the fans. That fact has been talked about ad nauseum by myself and many others on this web site. To my knowledge none of his family members have bothered posting on this board for a very long time. I am mystified as to why his daughter's name is being brought up two years after the fact?

Our former coach was a very public figure making a large salary and, IMHO, was fair game in the press and on the internet. His family was neither of those and, therefore, when reading about them on this website, I am embarrassed and uncomfortable.

You're right about one thing, it can't be argued. You're just plain wrong. No argument necessary.

Why don't we email Buckley and let him know how wrong he was?

Did that. It takes him a few days to get back to you, but he does.
