Not so sure about that. There’s some tack sharp analysts here who said this season would have been different had he started out of the gate. It’s like if Don Brown was still here or KLA hadn’t transferred. We are THIS close to breaking through to FBS glory. Just can’t catch a break. And you know the fans will come out and fill up McGuirk at even the slightest hint of success!

Wiggins is a surprise. Spoke with his family after DB was let go in Georgia. Coach H and staff getting him and AJ to leave wasn’t easy based on what I heard last year. This year must’ve changed a lot.

^ I’m confused. The coaching staff wanted them gone but had trouble getting rid of them? Can’t be that hard to get rid of players you don’t want nowadays. Just cut them right?

I wrote it poorly. Made sense in my head. Both of those guys seemed bought in to UMass even after DB was fired. I don’t know if coach H wanted them gone, but it’s clear under his leadership something soured. I thought it would be hard to get them to sour on UMass. So, if coach H wanted them gone, he succeeded. If he didn’t want them gone, I’d like to know what caused them to leave, because them leaving surprises me. I don’t believe they were “cut”. They are two guys and families I’d want on the team and supporting UMass.

That makes it even more surprising he left. Seemingly accepted being a scout team/third or fourth string guy and liked the school.
