Why do I always plan my fall Saturdays around watching UMass football when I know it'll be disappointing?

Hard to believe we were tricked after seeing those practice session videos where no one missed a catch or a tackle!

Well, that was pathetic. I didn't need a win, but it would have been nice to have remained competitive into the second half. Unless some of the MAC teams besides Kent State are bigger cupcakes than anticipated, this is looking like a 2-10 season, with two largely meaningless wins (if we even get those). I knew this would be a multiyear rebuild, but I really expected better today. They accomplished almost nothing on their points of emphasis, especially ball/turnover control and reduced penalties. I'd be happy if they prove me wrong, but at this moment I see little reason for optimism for the remainder of this season.

Well you can see why they were points of emphasis... 4 or 5 plays cost us from scoring another 17-21 points.. if we lost 42-31 we'd probably feel a little better.. also I didn't realize that Nobles who we thought would be a big impact is out for the year

Rolling Ridge I think we need to stick to UMass Women’s basketball.

Need another game to know if they are truly rotten or not. If Rose doesn't crap on those three plays, the momentum of the game could have been different.

I think you may be absolutely right. Bad news on that front as well, though. Taylor Derkack reinjured her ACL and will miss the upcoming season. Momo LeClair has also left the team, so we're down to 10 players. I'm still going to the games and will support the team, but this is a big disappointment. At the moment, however, I still have more optimism for Women's BB this season than I do for football. :?

New coach, new QB, same old same old. I'm out. Will root for a team that always wins like Alabama. Oh wait...shit!

I would like to at least have the team be competitive against mid level competition.

Per HC, Nobles and Franks done for year with ACL tears. Waiting for results on TY. Additionally, this performance took place in front of 10-11 committed and not committed recruits
