^ The actual DC for Temple is UMass' Brian Smith who hired Duds after DB got fired. He played for Brown & Dudzinski. I suspect the nonsensical talk of a Bowl Game will now be shelved
Good looks! Didn't even notice that
It's a shame Bamford never brought him back.. he was Victor Cruz's WR coach, that says it all

I wouldnt give up on bowl game based on Saturday as the game was much closer than the final score and came down to a few plays. I look at college football differently in that I see it as an offensive game and only want my defense to keep the opponent at 31 or less. I believe with 8 possessions playing against a non P4 team you should score 5 tds. Temple got 42 but had two short fields and one big run because of huge mental mistake by our LB that gave them a third short field. If our offense performed well (this means dont foolishly fumble when making a big gain and punch it in when you have 1st and goal from 3) in the 2nd qtr we would have had the lead at halftime. I think the game was a few plays away from being in the 35-31 range. Temple outplayed us and deserved to win, but it was much closer..

I am a bit worried they handed the QB job to Rose. I think this year they would be better off going with Jordan due to his experience and likley high intelligence. I just think he would keep the mistakes to a minimum.

I agree with this.. we were a fumble away of probably going up 17-7 with the momentum we had.. I think Temple still would have won but, we were about 4 plays away from a 42-31 game..

I think Hairston is the real deal. His play at Georgia and vs UConn last year as a true frosh were excellent. He doesn’t throw it to the other team. His completion percentage is phenomenal. He doesn’t run as well as the others. He looked leaner than last year. He is stronger than both and is much tougher to strip.

Almost feels like because of the OC they were predetermined to go with Rose.

If Coach H chose the starting QB bc the QB knows the OC then Coach H should resign and forfeit all future compensation. That would be a complete failure of leadership and breach of duty.

I have a feeling Hairston will be the starter in Nov and for our bowl game win..

Wow. Carolina should've asked UMass if it was advisable to hire an old washed up coach.

Possibly, assuming he still has eligibility in November 2027.

Surprised no one commented that the temple QB, although coy, was asked about knowing the defensive calls. Seems Coach H didn’t change D calls from the Rutgers days. That is a bigger or worst issue from game 1

I will be shocked and disappointed if that is true
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Need another game to know if they are truly rotten or not.
I'm with you. It certainly looked like same old same old, but I'll give them one more game before I'm out. The problem with that is the next three games are completely meaningless, so you have to wait for homecoming against Western Michigan. Up next are FCS Bryant and the two SEC games, which won't tell me anything. I'll marginally pay attention to these next 3 and then tune in for Western Mich to see if they've pulled their heads out of their asses.
...I want to see improvement through the season. No longer dare measure it in wins and losses.
Sorry Steve, but that's some wimpy Old Mass stuff. New coach, new budget, new facilities investments, new conference, go MAC, rah rah sis-boom-bah, etc., wins and losses are the only measuring stick remaining at this point for the program.
