I am very surprised that we are only three sleeps to game day and it is a game that gives UMass it's only shot at being above .500 for a minute in their FBS existence and we have so little commentary here.

Draft Kings has no line on this game currently.
- Massey has Umass +1
- ESPN Umass +1.5
- CBS - No line
- Yahoo - No Line
- USA Today Umass +2.5

^Thinking the same thing. Absolute crickets, and when I purchased tickets the other day, seemed like PLENTY of seats remain. Is this like the 4th attempt (lost track) to resuscitate the program since FBS upgrade? Hoping for 10K attendance.

Say what you want. Averaging over 12k with a poor record and still 75% full. Hoping For positives for the game, season and soon to be past jaded fans.
3 Goals: Move to FBS, leave the A10, be successful. Football will drive the bus!

Don't you just hate when predicted good weather kills attendance? Seriously though, I know what you're saying. Deep down (and probably not THAT deep down) football's just not that important around here. I honestly think that if they were coming off an 8-4 season last year it wouldn't make a bit of difference in opening day attendance. That said, I'm going to the game and hoping to see some improvement, fewer penalties and maybe a more organized look where players know what to do without all the sideline and playcalling confusion we're used to.

Based on Bajakian’s past, I can’t picture more than 35 points unless defense or return team scores. I think UMass wins this by 10. 31-21.
I am trying to go to this game. I will give you and Steve Maz each 10 bucks or whatever is agreed upon for every point UMass wins by. Not a wager. My son wants to go the LSU/Clemson game so we'll see. i totally hope you are correct. Last UMass football game I went to was at Gillette.
Well…both of us will be in lot 11 prior to the kick. Stop by for some food. I’ll DM you a pic of where I assume we will be. New parking this year….part of my thinking on this game is Keeler playing the hide a QB game. He is a great coach. Making this move means he is looking for any edge.
Gonna try to be there. Lot 11. haven't been to Amherst in 40 years plus.

Doc's Sports and Pick Dawgz has us at least covering the tiny spread.

The espn predictor has us as 58% chance of winning while being an underdog….makes no sense.

Lol both teams are 0-0, it’s normal that there’s a ton of uncertainty for this game. Let’s be real, no one knows who’s gonna to win, not even the “experts”

Uncertainty yes, but most of the existing lines say it will be close. Hope we show up and the fans are loud and proud.

Can remember being at an A10 tourney and people on the board thought we had a lot of fans. Than someone like Old Cage posted, we had a few fans blessed with good lungs. or something like that. Be loud and looks like great football weather.

Also will say Ohio offense looked really good and the difference of the game was special teams. Ohio muffed a number of snaps and the kicker had to pick it up and the punt was blocked into the end zone for a Rutgers Touchdown (in the first half.). Final 34 Rutgers - 31 Ohio. Rutgers had a great front line and Ohio lost their entire defense starting line and more. Ohio defense came alive but Rutgers made either 4 for 4 or 5 for 5 on 4th downs.

Labor Day weekend is tough. If you don't have kids playing sports this weekend, it's the last chance for families to get away as the unofficial end of the summer. I bet it will be a small crowd but hopefully a lot of undergrads will make their way down as they're all back on campus as of this past Wednesday. Hopefully we can put on a strong showing, we always seem to play well for opening day.
