Just curious. Without looking it up, can you identify the top four MAC teams in terms of the best in-conference records? I had two correct. The other two were guesses.

I only had 1.

Also of note, looking like they could have as many as 8 teams go to Bowl games this season.

Maction starts tonight. Can’t wait to see Umass play during the week on espn.

I got two, but not in the right order. The other two surprised me, but things are a pretty bunched up right now and not everyone has played the same number of conference games, so a lot can change over these final weeks.

I do not like that Eastern Michigan grey field. Watching on TV it looks like a black & white broadcast

Not trying to be snarky, but I didn't guess and I don't care. I probably will next year.

Me too, but I wonder how many fans will go during the week? They have a hard enough time getting good crowds on Saturdays. Maybe the students will show up in better numbers on a weeknight, but I don't see a lot of alumni from throughout the state doing so.

^^ Nor was I trying to be snarky with my thread question, based on my preseason underwhelmed attitude to our move. I was curious to know if anyone was paying attention to our future opponents. I actually watched some decent chunks of MAC games, trying to get a feel of the lay of the land. I will agree with Floyd about the grey field at EMU. I kept waiting to see Y.A. Tittle and Del Shofner trot onto the field.

IIRC, Pete Gogolak was the first soccer-style kicker in the NFL.

To this day, I cannot say "Sandro Vitiello" without a hand motion and an accent on the "ell". Along with a little inflection on the "an" in his first name. Try it. It flows pretty well. :D

It does, indeed.

For those who've been following UMass football for decades, who would you consider the best UMass kicker of all time? Seems like we always struggle with kicking
