Frank forgot how he coached the last two games.

A lot of the effort from yesterday was there today, but shots weren't falling this time, and I feel like there was a lot lacking on the coaching adjustment side.

Toledo did a great job of defending our standard starting five.. they game planned the hell out of us and made it difficult for Banks on the outside and Leo/DHS on the inside. The times that we had a few subs in there, we made some runs. Parker was part of mini-runs in both halves. The coaching staff needs to recognize these things... and as per all season, this didn't happen. And our frustration as fans continue.

Somewhere in the 5-minutes to go area of the game, we had a good back and forth of a few points in our favor... Banks got the ball, ended up in the middle of the paint and instead of an easy floater (make or miss...), tried to sneak pass it to Leo (I believe) for a turnover. Knew it was over at that point.... we were pressing on offense vs the confidence they had yesterday.

Disappointing end, after a massive high yesterday, to a disappointing first season in the MAC. Bamford lied to everyone.

To think we cannot have a better coach is foolishness!
With 3 years at $2 million per year left on his contract he is not going away. Had Bamford not extended him for 2 years he would probably be out and at least only had one year left.
Bamford spends UMass money likes it’s Monopoly money.

Not sure it is fair to say he lied…. But he did bullshit … a lot!

Disappointing any time a season ends. This one was particularly frustrating as I think the roster construction was very good (credit to Frank and staff), but the usage of that roster during the season was poor (bad job by Frank), and they definitely underachieved as a result. Too inconsistent on a nightly basis and the inability to defend all year was a failure by the players and particularly to teach it by the coaching staff.

It was pretty clear that Hankins-Sanford was still bothered by the foot injury. He laid it all on the line on Thursday in the epic Miami win, but just didn't have anything left to give last night. It's a shame that he's going out that way, but I'm very glad he got to experience the thrill of beating Miami. There was a lot of joy after that one.

Disappointing end to a rather disappointing season, although I have to admit I really enjoyed beating BC, Florida St, Miami, and even that epic Central Michigan game. Better luck next year...

Bamford should be canned..assuming hockey doesnt continue its roll all the way to Natty.

Im hoping Martin feels like he is better off coaching FIU or maybe South FLa after their coach takes new job. We are going nowhere with him as head coach and his ridiculous yelling at the players is beyond idiotic.

Get a Big Ten assistant or a head coach from lesser conference who has built a program in the midwest. Go after 3 star players who can shoot from the midwest which includes freshman who are just below Big Ten level or Big Ten bench sitters. Use the fact that UMASS is a Big Ten esque campus experience to our advantage.

Of course we can. But we know it isn't Ryan that would be able to find that coach.

Look at the box score and listen to Frank's postgame presser. I'm not a Frank defender, but he has a very valid point. Leo was really bad defensively.

^ he was the best player on the floor all year. You're gonna go out with him on the bench? He also said the whole front court basically stunk all game. Down 10 most of the last minutes, need all your scorers in, no? Maybe it was one of those learning moments 🤔

Offensively, yes. But he scored 21 and was still a -23? Yikes.

Oh I hear ya. I believe the whole starting 5 was negative. Leo and Marcus were both their focus to shut down and they did a pretty good job. I'd still go down swinging with my best on the floor and thought since it was his last collegiate game, Leo deserved the respect to be on the floor when it ended. Just my opinion

Do you have a link to the +/- you’re referencing? The offensive and defensive ratings from the game has Bettiol at the best on UMass in this game.

Frank is also not consistent across players… Banks, in particular, has had some shitty games, but guess what, Frank never pulls him because of it.
