They did great yesterday with the exception of: blocking, tackling, passing, catching. I was jealous of URI AD Thorr and HC Fleming, 2 older mature MEN vs. Millennial Kids Bamford and Bell. The biggest problem I saw yesterday was lack of effort and focus. I expect the team to come out and play hard. If this doesn't get their attention, nothing will... and if they can't get on board after this, then maybe they don't belong at UMass. I won't put too much stock into the Army game, but Maine and NM State I hope to see a team that is competitive and energized, win or lose. That's my litmus. Hopefully Reid and Miller can help us separate the wheat from the chaff.
True, but that's largely been true for every game. I saw a lot more effort and focus against BC, UConn, and even Eastern Michigan, and I expected that on Saturday in a potentially winnable game. Enough with the negativity!!! Just to rebut Joe Lescott hair dumb name guy, WE ARE NOT MOVING BACK TO 1AA. We are never going back to 1AA.
