Thieves steal $22,000 in cash and property from Israeli players at Staples Center

Anyway, that's quite an unfortunate story, especially considering those Maccabi/NBA games were benefiting an orphanage.
Recently on the news I saw somebody being interviewed in a locker room, and each locker had a personal safe, like you see in decent hotel rooms these days. That's a good call, allow the player to secure their valuables during the game. That should be the standard in any professional sports venue.

Hopefully, Stephane wasn't among the victims...

BTW, is turns out that Camby gave Lasme some clippers glass thing (no idea what that means), but that everyone on the team received one. Obviously, it was well planned out that Camby was to give Lasme his gift.

For those of you with NBA TV Stephane's team is playing right now. I'm not sure if it is tape delayed or not, but it is fun seeing Stephane play again.

Steph made a nice dunk earlier in the game off of a great backcut. I have been very impressed with the level of play in this game.

He just leveled a guy for his 4th foul. The announcer pronounced his name "Laz-em".

Stephane Lasme signed a 2-year contract few days ago with Spartak St. Petersburg of the Russian basketball league (whatever it's going to be called next year). Here is the official press release in English (which seems like a copy-and-paste job, plus some English sentences that aren't stylistically sharp):
http://www.bc-spartak.ru/en/news/682
Spartak finished 6th out of 9 teams in Russian Basketball Super League last year. They'll be competing in the EuroCup qualifying. As much as it pains me to say, but it's a middling team in a league embroiled in a match-fixing scandal... thus a downgrade for Stephane Lasme. The good news for him is that usually teams out of St. Petersburg are well-funded, and St. Petersburg is a fantastic city.

The Boston Celtics have extended training camp invites to former UMass product Stephane Lasme, Southern Indiana's Jamar Smith, and LSU's Chris Johnson

Nice, I think the Celtics have found their replacements for the Big 3: Tony Gaffney, Steph Lasme and now they just need to bring RH5 back from overseas

Hire Matt McCall!

I would be happy for Lasme or Gaffney if they made team. Tony probably has better chance. Bigger and shoots better.
