Game 9: Boston College
Speaking of Ricky Harris and Tyrese Rice...remember this comparison from a couple years ago...
"Remember the name Ricky Harris? He was on the list for best of the rest regarding the point guards. So what position is he? His head coach Mike Byrnes says he's a pure 2-guard while some college coaches were planning on recruiting him as a point. One assistant with a keen eye says he's this year's Tyrese Rice, who is a freshman at Boston College this season. Rice was an underrecruited guard with a knack for scoring. So far in five games played, Rice is putting in 13.4 points a game. Harris has that same kind of offensive punch."

Great win for the Minutemen!
I am running out of superlatives to describe Ricky Harris.
Sorry if this quote is butchered, but I believe Calipari once said about Mike Williams "he has testicles the size of a hippopotamus", I think that would apply to Ricky as well. The idea of 2 1/2 plus more seasons of Ricky is a thrilling one.
Now on to soccer on Friday!

Is it time yet to begin recognizing Chris Lowe as a top 30 point guard in the nation, or am I just biased! Man can he adjust his body like nobody's business to make a shot or execute a sick pass! Just think - next year's backcourt will consist of CLowe, Harris, Anthony Gurley, Gary Correira, David Gibbs and all the rest. Holy shit Batman!!!
Again, how 'bout Tony Gaffney's intangible contributions, blocks and serious hustle? I thought Lasme was on the Lakers D-League squad? Wow!!!
Forbes starts off relatively slow, but ya know in a big game he ain't finishing that way... he ends the game with 22pts..
When the F*&k are we gonna get the props that we deserve, come on now.
UMass Minutemen (7-2) with wins at Syracuse and at Boston College!!!
Now we're home for four straight, including a January 2nd match-up against Univ. of Houston.
I'll be at the January 27th game with current #17 Xavier, can't freakin' wait!
Go UMass!

Chris Lowe is the best point guard in UMass history. Better than Carl Smith. Better than Padilla.
