Honestly, if he's batting around the idea of walking away (which he won't do right before his kid arrives on campus), he'd be outstanding on TV. Like you said, he was very good in his short TV stint after South Carolina fired him, and he's the kind of man that speaks in sound bites that the sports world and social media loves. People around the game love him (he's very engaging off the court), and I'd enjoy watching him in pregame and halftime whiparound shows. I'd enjoy it because he'd be good at it, and because he wouldn't be here anymore.

The WMUA guys put out a new episode of their podcast and they talked about calls for Frank's jobs. Around the 21-minute mark, one of the guys says he thinks Frank Martin loves being at UMass and probably won't walk away. Take that for what it's worth, but these guys are actually around the program, they talk to him in press conferences and see him around. They also talk a little about Bamford and how he has no business firing and hiring coaches at this point.

Has anyone looked around at these games and seen the average age of the fans that go? I'm in my early 50's and I feel like I'm one of the youngest - most of these fans were in their 50's when we went to the Final 4 - I mean I hope they all live to 100 and keep going to these games, but my overall point is, if not for these 70 and 80 year old die-hards going to these games - there would be 1000 fans at each game. We have to have to oldest fan base in America.

Year 2: 6-4 with 2 first team all A10 players and a good supporting cast
Year 3: 2-8
Year 4: 2-7 with 1 game to go

Great post, 69. It's clear that his style wears his players down as the season goes on. While year 2 was his best, it has to be mentioned that they got steamrolled in their A10 tournament game. They were trailing by a zillion and then Rahsool went nuts to make it somewhat respectable.

Overall final-10-game record for Frank is 12-27 (0.308 win %) with one to go.

If you want to create change, you have to make some people uncomfortable. Not fair to the players is a short-term issue. Is it fair to the players that they will finish every season on a 2-8 skid and then transfer out?

The players have quit. In the NIL era, not sure there’s much room for blindly supporting the players anymore.
