The only
major down side to that many people in Amherst at once will be the 3.5 hour ride down Rte 9 back to the Coolidge Bridge
They may have to add some seats to the Hangar too....

I don't think that 25,000 will be sufficient to have enough games on campus.

If they do it in phases I think 25K is good for step #1. By the end I would like it to be closer to 35K, I think that works out better, especially for bringing in opposing teams. But on the other hand that is twice the size of McGuirk now, which is a tall task; they would never fill that right away.
Maybe bump it 10K in a phase one, and another 10K in a phase two, end up with ~37K total in 10-15 years.

Hah, I'm sure you guys will be alive longer than the rest of us.
Maybe you can convince them to go to full capacity before your twilight years are done

At 78 how much longer do you think I will be around? Fortunately I don't have any health issues at this time.
One big problem with upgrading the FB stadium and installing modern bathrooms is the need to run a sewer line from the stadium to the sewage plant that is located to the left of the back road into Mullins. I know when I asked about bathrooms for the stadium several years ago this was mentioned as an issue. I don't have any idea what that will cost. Not sure what they are doing for sewage disposal in the new locker rooms.

^ Whatever is needed for dealing with waste water is already in place as the football performance center has many actual toilets (a novel concept indeed) and a sizable laundry facility.

They should be able to tie in wastewater facilities without issue. It's a project but it's a major issue that needs to be completed.

We sure have seen some pretty good BB and FB games over our times going to UMass games. One of the most memorable game was the Eastern Regional playoffs at the Georgia Dome against Georgetown. The did a lot of trash talking the night before but we showed them. Then of course the games the Dr. played in.
