Game 2, 2025-26: Albany (11/8)
Re: Game 2, 2025-26: Albany (11/8)
Happy for the solid second half and win. Listened to Coach and talked about getting the PG, off the bench, more confidence and reference Mike's women's team 2 years ago and now playing with confidence. That is the special sauce. Frank also mention that he has a lot of set plays, but wants them to figure things out. Talked about the first game lack of energy with the bigs and the guards not looking for the bigs. Guessing that was better in tonight's game, and Albany does not have a 7 footer out there.
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

Our bigs played very well. They (Bettiol, Luka and Clerc) combined for 30 and 13. Size wasn't an issue against Albany. Their 7-footer, Giralt, hasn't played in either of their games. Their bigs are 6'10, 6'9 and 6'9 and they combined for 10 and 10. Now we need to get the 3-point shooting going the way we were told it would be.

Carbuccia controls the ball well and plays really good man to man defense, he has a great understanding for the game. Unfortunately as the season goes on, with a quick scouting report, all teams will leave him open as they know he has absolutely no outside shot.
Kjei Parker is the better offensive point guard no doubt but I think he’s more prone to turnovers and taking bad shots.
You have your pros and cons with both of our PGs
I just hope the team knows early that not all games will be as easy as Albany
