What I dont do is act like umass has some blue blood hoops program because they had a good 5 year run 30 years ago with a few good years sprinkled around. Same could be said about football program. Honestly....I could get on board if bammy wasn't around. I know what he has done to people and what kind of person he is from things covered up by him.

No one (me) said or insinuated that we were some "blue blood hoops program"... I simply referenced a shit program being taken from shit to the top of the sport by a no-name assistant coach.

You can hate the football program for whatever reasons your little heart desires (Bamford, in this case), but the right hire by whoever the fuck the AD is can change things, and we here at UMass have a perfect example of that.
Umass hasn't been good at hoops or football in years! The 20 people on this board seem to be the only die hard umass fans. It's not just umass....amherst and the small towns in the area have close to no support. They would rather see the crap stadium torn down for a art gallery. All umass is a perfect example of what not to do..
.that's been proven. Lose every game...hire coaches..2 years later...fire coaches. Get left at presser by coach. Cover ups. If the chancellor really cared...bammy would be gone. No legit program tolerates missing at every hire...over and over. So...thats your umass example. Keep cheering for a loser program.

BC also didn't just fire their coach.
Uconn only has 11.
UNC Charlotte, who also just fired their coach, also has 4 so far.
None of the players have decommited since the firing. That didn't impact it at all

Seems like a good hire coupled w/a budget and hopefully a plan for success in the MAC. I'm looking forward to seeing Coach Harasymiak lead the program into the future and hopefully this is the beginning of better days for UMass Football.

Wow, thought he may keep an Alex Miller and a chance for Shane Montgomery. Given their performance the last 4 games and wanting to keep some players from getting uneasy and jumping.

On the radio earlier this week Wiggy intimidated an overhaul of the staff and a culture change was needed. He was respectful but it sounded like there were issues.

I'm so sorry you're upset that I provided you an example that change can happen... a home grown example none-the-less. You seem to be thinking that my example is somehow connected to the AD... I'm not sure why, but cool?

I will continue to cheer on UMass, that is correct. I suggest you do too, or maybe this site isn't for you.

And an Art Gallery can be part of a new stadium project. That's the best idea you've had on this board since you joined here in 2017.

I am sure that with conversations with Coach H going back a while - from the offer to acceptance - that he had a hand in the signees. Very certain that they withdrew their offers from many that they no longer wanted to sign. Some people on the board are excited about the play if the QBs x2; but one (1) of the recruits they took is a QB. Perhaps a position change is in order for one (1) / both of the H QBs

My understanding is the culture did not hold talented individuals to high standards. That is part of the story as to how KLA left and Simpson was dismissed. Alex did a great job with the OL this year. Keeping him on however would likely make a culture shift difficult. Players who like the current culture might appeal to him if they don’t like the new vibes.

Hairston and a few others were at the hoops game last night. Hairston likes it here, too.

No surprise the whole staff is gone... that was already stated when DB was let go.

It's always possible that has JH starts to hire his staff that he brings someone back, but I'd venture that it isn't likely.

That's good to hear, hope he sticks it out here.
