This is a good group of players and a fun team to watch let's show our support get rowdy and beat the brakes off SBU in our home finale!
Why is this senior night? Don't we have Fordham at home on 3/6?

I think we can safely say that this team can play with anyone in this league. They unfortunately played 3 of the top 4 teams on the road. If you change about 10 points over the course of the A10 season they'd be right in the thick of the fight for a double bye. Put another way, I like their chances against any A10 opponent on a neutral court. It's been a very long time since I felt that way.

I recognize that the corollary is also true (see LaSalle) but I'm not sure what more they have to do to prove to people that they are legitimate. They didn't dominate VCU because the Rams missed some bunnies. They won by 22 because they played tenacious stifling defense, moved the ball effectively and rebounded.

Correct, our last home game is against Fordham. I always thought that senior night was held on the last game, but maybe they moved it to the weekend to give more people and player's families the chance to get to the game. I have no idea if Matt or Josh plan on coming back, so maybe Ryan Marcus is the only one out there for senior night.

I could've misspoke, I thought that is what they said after the game last night about senior night. And my apologies I thought this Sat was our last home game.

^ I believe you are right about doing it on a daytime weekend game. The ladies have already had theirs, and it was a 1PM game.

Did everyone enjoy puke-fest last night? Heard that was a lot of fun!

As nice as it is to see something the looks like basketball in the Mullins, there is a lot to be frustrated about as well.

Regardless, that was a great win.
6-4 in the last 10 but could have been way better. 2 buzzer beaters, 3 total 1 point losses and a blown lead in last 6 minutes.

They still haven’t had a 2-0 week but also haven’t had a 0-2 week. They are the definition of a 500 conference team.

Doing some channel surfing after our game and UCant was making a run at the big deficit and the announcers were falling all over themselves because Danny told them that he needed his team to be within 10 at the five minute mark (like no other coach has ever come up with a thought process such as that  ). When they hit that mark, they were all peeing on themselves about the brilliance of Danny. They failed to give him enough credit for the team to be down by something like 18 in the last minute.

Oddly, I would have felt better if they blew out LaSalle and lost to VCU by 1. Still a great win either way

As for our beat down of VCU, I was having flashbacks to our 108-38 dismantling of URI (2/23/74). We were hitting everything and the Rams could not find a basket (although I believe they actually inadvertently hit a bucket for us at one point). I was briefly feeling bad for them, but I got over it. Quite the wild environment, as usual.
I was hoping for a similar outcome last night and was actually concerned when VCU cut it to ten in the second half. But we woke from our nap in time to put the game away. Kudos to the team for the effort.

Absolutely, the fact that DK had something to do with it makes it even sweeter.

LOL

I wasn't talking about UConn. There was a legitimate puking incident at the Mullins Center last night during the game.

The SBU game is an "Alumni Recognition" game. Around 80 former players, including Marcus Camby will be in attendance and saluted during halftime. This came from Frank. He wanted to do it last year but things didn't work out. He thinks it's important for the current players to know more about the history of UMass BB and past successes.
