That makes total sense, seems like it would be kind of insulting to the struggling Mauians there to host it this year. What a mess on Maui, unfortunately our ADHD news media has almost completely moved on to the next shiny object.

It won't be easy.

I'd love to see us play and beat GT, Hawaii, and Temple! I'd be ok if game two was Portland, I think. I haven't seen any of them play.

Anyone got a better idea? I guess we won't know until we see how we fare against WV.

We have a shot against GA Tech and we would then probably play Hawaii. If we lose to GA Tech we probably play Portland and that's a winnable game. No way to know beyond games 1 & 2. If we can come out of this 2-1 I'll be very happy.

A little more research into the teams and I found their NET ratings, and something called BPI from ESPN. I'm not sure what the formulas are, but they can vary greatly between the 2 rankings.

Depending on Saturday they could come back under .500. What does that do to the "enthusiasm" on this board? What does that do to an already sparsely scattered crowd at the home games....

Umass had better represent in Hawaii, otherwise this whole thing is going from bad to worse.

2-1 should be the highest probability based on the bracket. But we all know 0-3 or 1-2 is just as likely as 2-1 or 3-0.

GA Tech's last game before Hawaii was in New York today. They beat Penn State in OT. Gapare was the leading scorer with 20.
