Probably thought he was going be our coach, but wasn't 100% sure. Or maybe coaches just don't resign when they get new jobs or it happens way after the fact.
Even more unfortunate - since he never resigned and didn't get rehired/new contract, we will probably never get the 1 million owed since he only makes $250,000.

Basically said this stuff has happened before and do not get worked up over Pat Kelsey. He is not Coach K and other big name coaches.,

If there is infact a buyout of 1 million that we are owed they should pursue it. I don't care if loses all of his money for 4 years or if Winthrop has to come out of pocket. It is BS and so is what Winthrop is saying. Bamford already stated that UMass was prepared and had communicated about paying his $150,000 buyout, so I feel like it is a he said she said thing at this point over "communication" and I believe Bamford over the people on the ropes for 1 million.

It seems Winthrop has an interest in acting like there was none because of course it would be easier to get 1 million out of Winthrop. Hopefully Bamford had all his ducks in a row on this. If we get nothing then they clearly weren't and this was a bad mistake by Bamford.

I would love to see UMass filing for the 1 million in Belchertown District Court so we can all go protest this clown when he comes to defend himself.   Take his house!!!
Looking forward to winning seasons again!

Nice fantasy but very bad for our reputation if anything like it happened

I had a few moments and jotted down my thoughts.

You know you're bored and angry on a Friday night when you: look up flights to Charlotte's and Pat Kelsey's home address...

Unreal that Winthrop AD can say as far as he knew Kelsey never resigned. Total BS, guess these slow southern dillweeds think everyone is as dumb as them. Bamford's new deal should be we will let you off the hook for the 1 million but you come to Amherst next year for a throttling.

In case you have not read anywhere on this topic coach PK played for Xavier, that's in Ohio, in the mid 90's, mentions not being able to guard Travieso or Padila . So he not a southern boy who was not familiar with northern weather.

Read the article from the SC paper. Only conclusion, Kelsey is a bigger dickhead than I originally thought.
