^^^^ This +1
Bamford has shown his value, he IS being a leader at the time when one is needed the most.

Re: Pat Kelsey
Why does the CoachingChanges guy hate Kelsey so much? What does he know about Kelsey? Apparently Sandy Hook is part of the reason, but not clear.

Re: Pat Kelsey
What gets me, is how on earth can Winthrop take this guy back?!?!? He quit his job there, presumably signed on with another school and said how much he loved it, took pictures with the new team, ate with them, said he loved the players like his own son! And now Winthrop will take him back??? Jeezus! Have they no pride at Winthrop?

Re: Pat Kelsey
My take is he has no intention of taking that job and was told Xavier comes open he gets it. I just hope Xavier keeps winning to drag it out for him and maybe change Mack's mind about leaving after all.
At this point not only has PK screwed UMass but also his mentor's son Mark Prosser who was slated to take over at Winthrop. And his old players who he left behind but then came back, and his new old players at UMass that he loved and cherished until he didn't. Used car sales guy all the way.

^ From reading that I have one suggestion. Don't hire a coach until he has been to Amherst.

Re: Pat Kelsey
He never resigned from Winthrop. TO me he went to Amherst to check it out, said he'd be coach so they wouldn't go after anyone else. Probably thought he was going be our coach, but wasn't 100% sure. Or maybe coaches just don't resign when they get new jobs or it happens way after the fact.
