Game 7, 2025-26: Oregon State (Paradise Jam 11/24)
Re: Game 7, 2025-26: Oregon State (Paradise Jam 11/24)
I wish I knew what is going on with Parker.
He scored in double figures the first four games, and he looks like he can be a good 3-point shooter (and a great free throw shooter). In the 4 home games he averaged 16 points a game and was 11/22 from 3. Even his assist to t/o ratio was good at 14/6.
In this tourney, he went for 8, then 2 (averaging 24 minutes a game) and today he only got 4 minutes. In his 4 minutes he was 0-2 from the field and had 2 fouls and 2 turnovers.
Something's not right and I hope it gets fixed.

What they said during the game is that we have 10 players that have never played D 1 ball.
Then they said that the other team had 10 foreign players. I don't think that is right. There should be a limit of how many foreign players a team can have say like a max of 3. Whey shour players be denied to get a scholarship.

It's like collegiate sports in general. Foreign players aren't taking scholarships from native born players...Better players get the rides /and NIL over less talented players.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

^ Foreign student athletes are usually on F1 student visas, as such they are not open to the traditional NIL deals that US student athletes can receive.

In his four minutes, his +/- was -15. Very difficult to accomplish.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Ha. I wish I was there. Was watching from my home office, in between work calls. Thankfully we didn't go OT because I had my boss at 3 PMSheck wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 2:32 pm Thanks Mike for the updates from down there, much appreciated.

There were a lot of things that crew wasn't correct on, but that's a tough job to be right on 8 teams you don't closely follow, and you have to call 4 games in a day.Berkman wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 4:35 pm What they said during the game is that we have 10 players that have never played D 1 ball.

I think it was coach's decision.minutefanjsf wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 8:01 pmSo he was coach’s decision not to play not injured? I missed the game.
Parker didn't play particularly well against GB on Saturday. He only scored 2 points and dished 2 assists, in 28 minutes, and was a team-low -8. Carbuccia did MUCH better than he did, so I think Parker was on a short leash today.
Then Danny got the start today and performed well. Was a team high +23. I wasn't watching closely but for Parker to go -15 in 4 minutes is crazy.
He might be coming off the bench the rest of the season.

Not that many adults.
What they had is students field day with at least 4 schools there each were rooting for a different team.

They got that wrong, even if they counted the walk-ons. The only guys who have never played DI are:Berkman wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 4:35 pm What they said during the game is that we have 10 players that have never played D 1 ball.

Whew, glad they didn't come home empty handed.
I do feel this team has the most upside of any of Frank's teams, but they've got tons of work to do.

Rollie did a nice job - forced a TO on D - handled the ball really well and even had an open look at a three but it rimmed out. Until Parker learns to play D I think Rollie might see some more minutes.minutefanjsf wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 8:19 amHow did Rollie do? He got more minutes than Parker. Nice to see Frank shake it up.
