im doubling down on 38-20 in our best game since Army/New Mex state two years ago...then it gets fun
Umass 35 Buffalo 34 as we return 3 kicks for TDs
Umass 3 C Mich 0 as the chippewah's are a half step behind after listening to Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck of the Edmund Fitzy before the game
Umass 23 Akron 22 as history repeats or shall we say even's up after UMass blocks and return game winning extra pt for 2
Umass 7 No Illinois 6 in an early driving snow storm in front of 12 fans
Ohio 49 Umass 0.. we get ahead of ourselves
Umass 46 Bowling Green 44 in 2OTS

Yes Steve, they have 1 win but they have been competitive against decent competition in all of their losses. Their defense only gives up 21ppg. Meanwhile, Umass gets blown out every game. On paper, no one is taking Umass over NIU
We have similarly putrid offense, but we give up 14 more points per game on defense and 140 more yards against
We might lose that one 3-0.

Tough 2 point loss by winless Sam Houston last night. Buzzer beater field goal. Still 3 winless teams left, but Oregon St has a winnable game tomorrow. Looks like the path is clear for the loser tomorrow to get the #1 spot.

Coach Joe "talks Kent State"...........
DeShields was on fire in Kent State’s close loss to the highly-touted Buffalo Bulls. He threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns, going 22-for-32 on attempts. His running ability was also on display. He took off 14 times for 37 yards and a touchdown.
Watch, he'll transform into Baker Mayfield or Josh Allen tomorrow. QBR of 115
we'll know the result in 25 hours.

There, as in Milford? Or there, as in Portage County? Or elsewhere? I can't get an accurate forecast from Dicky Albert without knowing a location.

If you guys are both going to that Maction game I’ll have to be there. I will buy a couple of zeppelins at The Hangar for everyone. I currently live on an island and haven’t been able to make any Saturday games but the NIU game is now on the calendar, especially now that Steve81 has this one as a winnable game.

Oh I'm going!!!! Leave Boston around 2 or 3....Haven't been back to McGuirk since December 1983. last UMass football game I caught was at Gillette. Hoping for the best today but I think their QB Dru DeShields transforms into Baker Mayfield or Justin Herbert. Think the 2 P4 games in games 3 and 4 took care of our season. Really wish we had Mark Whipple back: 2014 we came within a FG of Colorado and Vandy.
