That was almost a best case scenario - Diggins only had 5 points and the whole team came to play - almost a best case scenario.. painful loss

On the bright side this team is really creating an identity. tons of tenacity out there and everyone on the team is super likable and plays hard, we’re lucky to have that

That loss sucked, but this team is growing and if we play SLU again in the tournament, we’re winning the next one.. winning the tournament is the only way to make the NCAA tournament anyways.. and I think we have a chance at winning our final A10 tournament. gonna miss A10 classics like this one

No need to point fingers at the players - if you have the lead with that much chaos on the court, you need to call a timeout and call a proper play. That’s on the coaching staff for losing control. I’m sure looking back, they would do it over

Just got back from the game. This loss is on Frank. What the hell was Curry doing in the game with under a minute to go? He played well and shot pretty good, but the kid can't make a foul shot. Meanwhile Worthy who can hit foul shots is on the bench. We needed ball control and the ball in the hands of a decent foul shooter. I feel badly for Jaylen, his reaction after every missed foul shot was painful and he should have been pulled for his sake and the team, foul shots are like putting and they can really f@*k up your head.

The most important thing in basketball is putting the ball in the net. we rank in the bottom 10-20 in the nation for FT and 3 pt fg%. We stink!

Seriously - can anyone remember another choke job like that for us? I cannot, and I've been following this team for 33 years.

I was at the game Blaming Curry for missing 5 FTs is the easy target but Frank Martin is the biggest culprit. Umass had back to back possessions with about 2 min left in the game and up 5 and they were a mess on offence. Three guys were just passing back and forth 5 feet behind the three point line as the shot clock hit single digits, clearly not running any offensive sets and Martin, standing there watching, with three timeouts in his pocket does nothing. Martin's whole end of the game management was atrocious tonight. The players played not to lose in the last coupe of min. and Martin should have saved them from themselves and called a few timeouts to slow the game down for them.

I'm going to refrain posting much about the game because I would end up being out of character and calling out certain players. We all know who they were. My only comment is that this was the dumbest 42 seconds at the end of a game that I have ever seen. We need to have more court sense and clock management sense than that. Equal blame on coaches and to all the players on the floor at the end for not yelling out instructions to those out of control.

I just feel bad for the players. There were so many mental mistakes that they're going to wear this loss for a while. Such a shame to waste an opportunity in the standings and with students in there. Hopefully they can learn from it, turn the page, and move on to the next one.
