Radio the other night didn't say much of anything about his status, if memory serves. I suspect he won't be back in uniform again this season.

That said, I'd love to see him back for one more run, fully healthy, next season.

On another note, good read from The Collegian

That's a great article. Great couple who sound like great parents. Would absolutely love for Noah to be back, just go out and play and have a great season.

Noah's fantastic. All class and a great representative for the University. I hope to see him back next year, but if not I wish him well.

Game preview is out and they list the Seniors being honored - along with Brandon and Kante they list Noah, Wildens and kind of a surprise - Weeks? I guess by all accounts academically he is a senior but he still has two years of eligibility left. They also list John Kelly? UMASS Athletics site has him as a Sophomore so who knows if this preview is correct

This might be telling as to who will and more importantly WON'T be back next year.

^ This is a bit disappointing, but maybe not a done deal. It would seem likely that Frank has talked to each of these players. If any of them (not Kante or Martin) were not honored, it would probably mean they are coming back. Since those 3 are being honored, you can go glass half full (they haven't decided yet so they have to honor them tomorrow) or you can go glass half empty (they have told Frank they are not coming back).

I hope all 3 of them come back. Noah is a major loss and the other two are important pieces, although I don't consider either of them as starters next year.

I kind of figured there was a strong possibility that neither Fernandes or Weeks would be back. Hopefully Noah dresses and gets in the game for a bit.

Unfortunately I believe its a done deal for those guys. They speak to players with eligibility at length before planning these things. Thats why it was clear for the woman that Sydney and Angelique are returning despite being seniors. Weeks a bit of surprise with 2 years of eligibility left. Will not be surprised if he looks to play with his brother sometime in next two years. WE CANNOT lose anyone from our freshman class. Fingers crossed.

Whoever wrote the article needs remedial assistance. The sentence says "honor 6 seniors".

How many do you count in this sentence?

Senior Day Saturday
The Minutemen will honor six seniors prior to Saturday's matchup against the Bonnies. Wildens Leveque, Brandon Martin, T.J. Weeks Jr., Noah Fernandes, and John Kelly will be honored in a pregame ceremony.

^ I don't think they have a large team over there but there's a lot to be done, they're going to make some mistakes.

I noticed it as well, I assume the 6th is Kante.

Biggest loss from that group is obviously Noah. Kante and Wildens have had their moments this year but overall have been disappointing. We know what TJ can do, but he's not irreplaceable.

This would give Frank the opportunity to bring in starting caliber players at the 1 and 5. Key to this offseason will be keeping Luis around. But no matter what happens with the roster, a team can be successful with good coaching and an influx of new players.

did not even notice Kante was omitted - possibly one of the team managers is a senior? don't they usually honor them too?

This quote from the article posted above is telling: "Noah’s season may end in a week, with the future of his college basketball career in the hands of how UMass plays in the Atlantic 10 tournament."

I totally missed that, but it seems strange. I assume they mean if UMass wins the tourney and makes the NCAA tournament he would have more time to heal and then play? But even that seems strange because the NCAA tournament starts in about 2 weeks, doesn't seem like much would change for him in such a short time.
