^ With our shooting woes any team with decent zone is going give us trouble. It's pretty simple you need to shoot it well then everything else feeds off it defense ,rebounding, energy etc.

Trey Davis is pretty good at breaking down the zone. Chaz...not so much.

Hopefully, the GW game gave DK enough confidence to go to DD/Santee if we're up against a zone and none of the normal 7 are hitting from outside.

I guess we were all wrong. Never would have thought we'd get a 6. And we weren't even the last #6, either.

Virginia has 5 Top 50 wins, and is 13-6 against the Top 100.
We have 7 Top 50, and are 13-7 against the Top 100.

We should have gotten that last 1 seed.

I'm very impressed (and surprised) that the committee looked at our overall resume and not just the way we finished the season. I was ready to see the bracket and complain about the big conference bias, but that's not the case this year. Although I did watch some hoops pregame yesterday with Bilas, Digger, and Jay Williams and they kept spouting off about BPI and that NC State would mop the floor with Dayton and Gonzaga.

We're the only team in the country that is undefeated against top 25 in the RPI at 2-0. If we win in the first round, we're going all the way, baby!

I think we all know the answer to that already.... no way. DK hasn't done it all year, he is not going to do it during the tourney

ktabz16 wrote:did we finish poorly? yes... but over the last month our losses are to a 5 seed, a 9 seed and an 11. we didn't lose to anyone like northwestern or texas a&m. Tennessee has played 3 games against ncaa tournament teams since January 1st and lost them all.
It's actually four and three of those were against Florida, so that's a little misleading.
And if you go just outside of a month we have the loss to George Mason, at home no less.

It's funny that our own poll didn't even have 6 seed as an option. All of us on here who follow the team were surprised by this, even though some of us thought we did have a small outside chance of it based on rpi. We should not be surprised at all that the talking heads are calling us over seeded, I just don't see why this makes us an automatic upset pick as a 6 seed. If we were an 8/9 seed I bet a lot more people would pick us to win since it wouldn't we a sexy 11 over 6 pick.
