He was way out of sorts with his teammates and didn’t seem to know when to push the ball and when to set up on offense. On defense he didn’t seem to understand how and when to help. (I’m not a great lip reader, but the defensive lapses resulted in a a few teammates and coaches giving him instructions that seemed to align with/support my conclusion).

Got it, thanks. I originally thought you were talking about off-court stuff, navigating the pro world. But it's more about on-court awareness and basketball IQ.

Expand on that. Are you saying they waived the better of the two? (Not saying you're wrong if that's your point.)

RJ was the bigger prospect it seemed to me and had the better season last year, also was in the draft. Yet, Diggins made the roster. I just found that interesting.

Could be that he has another deal somewhere else and asked for his release.
