I don't trust any coach that would accept this job. Just kidding and I hope he crushes it.

My son sent me a notice that a Carolina QB has transferred to UMass.

Good hire. I will not offer the first “we gotta get rid of this guy” but somebody’ll say it sometime.
Typing it is one thing, pronouncing it is quite another…

Anybody know to say his last name? Hara sim’ eee ak?

One comment i saw here was a note about paying more than any other MAC school for the coaching pool. Plus they have a decent guaranteed NIL Pool for the next two years?

These two things are possibly/maybe the first signs of Umass trying to ACT like an FBS program and not just saying the words over and over again. That said, this better not be the end, rather just the very tip of the ice burg. The overall infrastructure is still significantly damaged and cannot be left to fix later.

I would like to know how much input RB had on this. The more say he has the less excited I would be. I am tired of his fingerprints being on any decisions around Umass Athletics. "This time will be better" has run its course.
Project 2027 buddy.. we will be 13-0 and in the playoff!

I think this was a pretty good hire. Seems like when he was at Maine his teams were solid

I never heard of him before I got the email. He does check some boxes I wanted: not ready to retire (younger than me!), was a successful FCS coach- at Maine no less so even has New England ties.

I am cautiously optimistic. My only question is did he call his own plays as DC? The two OCs UMass hired previously who didn’t call their own plays were both disasters. I’m fine with him delegating play calling as a HC but would like it if he has some play calling experience.
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

Leave the A-10!

Harasymiak was the safeties coach at Minnesota where he coached Antoine Winfield Jr and Tyler Nubin, first and second rounders respectively.

Hope we can keep the 2 young QBs & the RB group. Seems like a promising group to build around

QB plan needs to be a priority. Hairston looked to be a capable starter.

2 days ago you were crying we don't care about UMass athletics, now you're crying that.... the hire was too good?

That's UMass fans in a nutshell

Never happy
