Well, yesterday I bought 4 of them from The Bread
Lady, @ her 7-8 a.m. Jolly Harbour stop.
Serious note...would love to be @ the LL ame, for Jack, but it was too logistically challenging.
Did arrange regards to the Leamans fr SM.

Checking the score online & will do same soon @ Happy Hour as t sun sets in Paradise.

Go UMass
W's are essential from here on in.

Note that Frank is leaving Gapare in there with two fouls in the first half instead of Brandon

Luis has that old school inside/outside/mid range game. He’s also been running that 2 man pick and roll with Cross last game and now DD. He’s quickly becoming our go to offensive threat. Great to see.

The entire team is playing hard. Just need to limit the turnovers and defend the 3

Rough start with the turnovers helping Duquesne get their offense going but once they settled down they were fine. Took a few interesting shots and had a small handful of defensive miscues/issues, but they are playing hard at both ends and hitting enough shots to take a little control. Think taking care of the ball and keeping Duquesne in the halfcourt on offense and then off the offensive glass is the key.

Nice effort so far while being shorthanded.

Man, DD is fun to watch...

Foul on Reese really helps. Four fouls with fifteen minutes left.

UMass Injury Report, per HC Frank Martin:

F Matt Cross (non-covid related illness) did not practice. QUESTIONABLE vs Duquesne.

G TJ Weeks (knee) practiced in full today and should be ACTIVE.

G Noah Fernandes (ankle) is progressing but still limited in practice. QUESTIONABLE.

If these three guys can’t start, I’d go with, Diggins, Keon, DD, RJ and Leveque. Play Kante, Gapare and any of Noah, TJ, Matt off the bench depending on their health.

Whenever UMass plays Duquesne pleasant memories of Alex Eldridge eating Norm Nixon’s lunch in the Springfield CC when the Cage was being refurbished….I wanna say 1975-ish. 8)

Had nothing to do with a Cage refurbishment. Used to play a Springfield Civic Center games during Intersession month when there were no students on campus. FYI - Alex Eldridge’s senior season was ‘77-‘78. Along with Claiborne and Pyatt. Donoghue and Town were seniors in ‘76-‘77.

When was the last time a Freshman scored 30+?
John Hempel😁. 37 Vs WVU in ‘82-‘83 for those seeing this name for the first time 👍

Nice to see RJ go off. We got some players on this team. It would be great if we could just turn the injury setting off the rest of the season and have everyone available the rest of the way but like that guys are stepping up.
