I think he'll be helpful in the 2 or 3 spots in a 3-guard lineup. Seems like he has some hops and can help out rebounding. He seems to have skills in all facets of the game. Getting excited about the future of the program.

Sounds like a hard working kid...good frame, long arms. That said, I don't know very much about him or Mcall's track record for judging talent so I don't really have a strong opinion on how good he is/isn't going to be. It's an upside play for sure...good thing is he does sound like a kid who works at it.

I've seen him play twice and his offensive style of play reminds me of a Jim McCoy/Jerome Malloy type of player. To be clear I am not hanging McCoy type expectations on him. X
Welcome Carl!
Hope you're not hanging a Malloy type expectation on him either!

Maybe it's the maroon colored glasses, but I think we may have found a real sleeper.
This team is ehh. There is no way French nor Bede should not be on the 1st team. Martin on the 2nd team makes it more suspect. While Martin has talent he wasn't even the best player in Springfield. By the time he's a senior he should be the best player in the state but to say he was one of the top 10 players in HS basketball in MA last yr is a long stretch.

These selections are like heisman trophies sometimes. The top player isn't necessarily the best prospect at the next level.

I believe McCall was the first( or one of the first) D1 coaches to offer Bede. Seems that he has an eye for talent in this area (hopefully)

A good friend of mine who is in coaching in the eastern part of the state says we got a steal with Pierre. He says he is a little undersized, but also was very under recruited.

Undersized? He's a 6'4" SG. What am I missing?

yes to be a 3, which is more like his natural position. He has a forward mentality. Doesn’t play as a guard.

^ What does that even mean? How is he more of a 3 than a SG?
