I think it's fair to say Carl didn't have the year we all hoped/thought he would, especially in A-10 play...but if a bad year is top 20 (ok 22) in the A-10 in scoring (including OOC) thats still a pretty damn good year and have to believe most payers would take as a "bad" year. There are close to 300 players in the A-10...you finish in the top 7-8%...that's pretty damn good!

Lack of other scoring options on the team plays a big part in that.

Absolutely one of my favorite UMass players ever. Stats be damned, he brings what I want from my student athletes. He works hard on and off the court and is a great rep for the University. He's going to be successful with whatever he chooses to do after UMass and I hope we get more like him. As I mentioned in another thread, it will be a damn shame if he doesn't get a proper senior day sendoff.

I remember standing next to Jim Town at the Civic Center in Spfld after a game, feeling like a grade school kid; He was a big dude! If I remember correctly, he was among Denver's final preseason cuts.
