Not a good day for puke-on. First UMass hockey overcame a 2-0 deficit to win 5-4 then a former UMass player coached by another former UMass player beats their basketball team.

STORRS, Conn. -- — RJ Luis Jr. scored six of his 21 points in the final 2:16 to help No. 12 St. John's extend its winning streak to 10 games with a 68-62 comeback victory over No. 19 UConn on Friday night.

Imagine if our starting lineup was Cohen, Cross, Luis, Diggins, and Thompson with Curry, Hankin-Sansford, Ndjigue, and Davis off the bench? NCAA bound

It really hurts being a UMass fan. I watched that game last night. Every seat taken, fans on their feet, yelling, having a great time. Great teams, great players, and super coaching. And just a few miles up the road, what do we have? Nothing, zilch, zero. No hope, no future, and worst of all, most people that I know don't care anymore.

And we are leaving for a less desirable basketball conference

I think MAC is going to over take the A10 in 3 years. But, I wouldnt worry about that as i think we will be in a different or even a new conference very soon. The NCAA is going to separate Football from the rest of the sports this decade.

Love the UMass connection on both teams.

Saw St.John’s beat puke-on again yesterday.

RJ had 14 points and 5 boards. What’s crazy was his shooting…3-6 from 3 point land , 3-4 from the line, but only 1-12 from inside the arc.

Came here to express the same thing as I watch Luis playing great vs Seton Hall.

It stinks. I can’t imagine what Frank Martin thinks

Listen to the latest podcast. He talks about money in NIL and transfers in a way that is different than his most common refrains.

It's tough to say "what if we had Cohen, Cross, Luis, Diggins, and Thompson with Curry, Hankin-Sansford, Ndjigue, and Davis". Cohen, Cross, Diggins, and DHS all came here as transfers, and I don't know about all of them, but we certainly wouldn't have landed Cohen and Cross without NIL. So while we've lost more than we've gained in the current player movement system, we've also been the beneficiary of that system.

Maybe Luis is one of those rare gems that we could have kept back in the day, but he wouldn't have been playing alongside Cohen, Cross, Diggins, and DHS. I can say that pretty confidently.

That’s a very strong point.
