Taylor Makar has been called up by the Avalanche.

It's interesting to me - looking back - that Taylor is now in the NHL while John Leonard (who was a Hobey Baker candidate) is riding the busses.

I wonder if there is someone that the Avs are trying to keep happy. TM didn’t dress at the end his Freshman year and played in 19 of the 37 games.

With all due respect to the Avs management, it’s not easy to find players in the AHL who can put up the numbers that TM ( 1 goal - 3 assists in 9 games) did. Maybe he has developed into a Goon……lol….

Saw Kenny Connors’ debut against the Avs the other night.

Watching the Bruins-Predators game and there’s Ryan Ufko. I think only played in one game for Nashville last season but he was an AHL all-star this season and has been called up.

It’s getting to to where whenever you tune an NHL game in, there’s a good chance that a UMass alum is playing.

Ryan Ufko’s scored his first NHL goal last night. It was an impressive one, too!

^ Great goal. Someone posted on X that he is the best defenseman to come out of UMass. Maybe he was being facetious but I had to call him out on it.
