Just a shame what Georgia Tech did to BC today. We should have beaten that team!

It was too early. give us BC today and it might be a different story.
As far as Austrie. hey, we all make our decisions and sometimes we make the wrong one. Can't be a cozy locker-room down there in Storrs right about now. Considering my love affair right now with Chris Lowe and Tiki Mayben I sure am glad Umass doesn't have anybody else clogging the picture right now.

Mad Dog just said he thinks UConn will go NIT.....I think he's wrong.

Was listening to the game on the radio.
The radio guys said "in all likelihood, this is the last time we will see the Huskies play this year."
For those who did not catch the game, Calhoun got a T and apparently kicked the scorers table

I think he's wrong too.
conU went from 11-0 to 17-14 once the Big East season started. I'd love to hear Dog justify how a team that went 6-14 (.300) once conference play started, and is on a 4 game losing streak, deserves to make the NIT.
conU does not deserve to get a home game with that kind of resume, and unless they play in Amherst, no one else is going to give a shit that their home game is against the sled dogs.
This will be a complete slap in the face to a deserving mid-major program if the puppies get an invite.

So there was coach Jim Calhoun, frustrated both with officials and his team's unraveling, hastily pulling off his jacket, his hands ultimately atop his head. There was A.J. Price, brilliant in the first half, putting up consecutive air balls in the second. There was Doug Wiggins' three-point attempt in the closing minutes, bouncing high of the rim and getting lodged between the backboard and shot clock. And there was Syracuse forward Demetris Nichols, grabbing a courtside broom and poking free the ball, much like he had stuck daggers into the Huskies' hearts and defense with seven three-pointers and 28 points.

This will be a good baromerter of whehter the NCAA truly will be choosing the NIT teams based on merit, like the Big Dance, and not based on ratings/attendance/names......UConn and St. Johns should both be out.....we shall see.....

Unfortunately for mumbles, Coach's went out of business (at least in Stamford) long ago!

Per matty V's blog:
The Steve Lappas to Quinnipiac rumor appear to have been started.
Talk about misery in Connecticut. Those poor bastards!

Funny. If Lappas got the job Calhoon would stop playing Quinnipiac since Lappas has a decent history beating UCONN.

Per ESPN.com, there is some question as to whether he resigned or was fired. Mumbles probably pulled some strings to get him canned after he dared to actually try to win their game against the ConnVicts last fall.
