Mike Bajakian hired as new OC - bringing a wealth of FBS and NFL experience to Amherst. Seems like another very positive development for the UMass Football program. So far I'm impressed by Coach Joe's hiring decisions. Seems like things are getting on track for continued improvement. Go UMass !!!
Seems like people have said Bajakian likes multiple TE sets. Already have two TE commits out of the portal as of now. Still have Anderson on the roster next year so far too

Charlotte is expected to hire Tre Bell as cornerbacks coach and defensive pass game coordinator, a source tells @CBSSports/@247Sports
Bell worked at West Virginia this year as pass game specialist and spears coach. Had been set to be on staff at UMass but now set to be hired by Charlotte.
Well, that didn't last long. It seems like Bell did a lot of the recruiting work on DBs. I wonder how many we'll lose?

There is a lot change coming to Amherst, FBS football, and NCAA this year. Getting down to 105 total roster all scholarship players, Pavia decision, NIL going in house, etc. lots of players are going to be forced out or into situations where they may or have a ton say. My guess is all of those decisions are wreaking havoc on established programs never mind a program with a leader like RB with a rookie HC.

He's a real helicopter father. Kids get cut from youth sports and have to deal with it, while social media gives an outlet to cry baby dads and players when they get cut at the college level.

Cut is different than having a scholarship pulled after signing to enroll in January. The kid hadn’t even stepped on campus, yet. Dad knows the school, both older brothers played at UMass. Something had to have happened. Hopefully, UMass is in the right and followed the correct process.

There are rules. A scholarship offer is a contract that lasts a year, minimum. He and UMass had a signed contract. He had to have done something to break it. I agree scholarships get pulled when players are recruited over. UMass can’t break it for no reason before he shows up. Hopefully, UMass was on the up and up here. I assume they were and it is sour grapes, but still not a great look especially when the dad had two kids play for UMass and he is a HS coach in the heart of a recruiting area for UMass.

Some people like their pulled pork North Carolina style, while others like it thinly cut. Either way it still tastes like BBQ pork, no matter what rules one follows when cooking.
If Coach Joe signed his UMass contract after Dec 4, the day DH signed at UMass, yes he can have his scholarship cut by the new coach. New coaches don't have to honor those signings as they didn't make the offer. That's the RULE!
