These are probably questions to ask the box office, not here...

As an FYI there was no team we played in last years out of conference schedule that made the NCAA tournament. If your goal is to make the NCAA tournament you need to schedule much better OOC than we have been doing. If your ‘goal’ is less than the NCAA tournament then there is no need to solicit donations (at least in my
Opinion)

You may be able to negotiate location. It's worth a try.Upstate10 wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2024 3:42 pm If I don't like the seats available do I get my deposit back?

Re: 2024-25 Season
I’m not guaranteeing anything, and I absolutely don’t blame anyone if they’re not optimistic about next season, but I’m cautiously optimistic about a top half of the A10 finish with a lot of upside. A lot is riding on Curry breaking out in a big way, and while that’s possible, it makes me nervous to rely on that. I feel more confident in DHS and Ndjigue taking a big jumps, and the team defense being markedly better.eldonabe wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2024 7:40 am
I don't know how to feel about next season yet. I have a low bar (which should surprise nobody) i just don't know how this team gets past .500 at the moment. It is way too early to make any real predictions, but there are A LOT of new parts and the vast majority of the time it take much longer than 7 weeks of practice to gel that much together.
Re: 2024-25 Season
^ Curry to me, seems like a hardworking kid who listens. Physical skills apparent, needs to be stronger and make smart decisions and control the game. I think he'll be noticeably improved, and could be a very dynamic player. Defensively is where I think he may need to get stronger. But, I think he's gonna be a very good one.

If you call the box office they will work with you to get you the seats that you want or seats that are close that are available. They are very accommodating.Upstate10 wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2024 3:42 pm If I don't like the seats available do I get my deposit back?

If we got fourteen guys with support, and a couple walk ons... I say this every year, but...
Why not have one AC be the JV HC and have a ten game JV season against prep schools and the like?

^ Last JV team was ‘76-‘77 and it had 0 varsity players. Need to spend time and money developing Scholarship players and not walk-ons. Rotation players come from scholarships and they add new ones every year.

Re: 2024-25 Season
It's a two-way street. Frank talked 2 years ago about how no one wanted to play them. Back-to-back years they've only scheduled 30 when they could schedule 31. "Expected" NCAA tournament teams have 0 incentive to play Umass right now. We have to schedule the middle and hope that 1, or a few, of those teams exceed expectations and rise to tournament level. Beating Umass as currently constructed, doesn't help you enough and a loss to them would be a detriment. I'm not saying we should be excited, or content, with just the CCSU's and Quinnipiac's of the world. But I think playing middling power teams is the best we are going to get for the time being.vanmeter wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2024 1:36 pm As an FYI there was no team we played in last years out of conference schedule that made the NCAA tournament. I wonder how many times UMass tried to get home and home series but the teams only wanted a home game for themselves?natwam2547 wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:01 amIt's a two-way street. Re: 2024-25 Season
Yes, not only this, but we have to beat the teams we schedule before scheduling better teams. Potential at-large teams don't want to schedule a top 150 team they could lose to because it doesn't help them either. A top 40 UMass team? Beating us could help them and losing won't sting as much. We need to be better before complaining about scheduling better.natwam2547 wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:01 amIt's a two-way street. Frank talked 2 years ago about how no one wanted to play them. Re: 2024-25 Season
Your not going to get to an NCAA tournament if you have a 233 rank OOC Schedule. I will not comment any further until I see the OOC schedule.
