This program needs to be torn down to the studs and rebuilt with the goal of being fast and physical. Players, coaches and support staff who don’t want to comply need to be shown the door. Time to workout, practice and play like a Minuteman. Bring back guys like James Ihedigbo, Rene, Kole Ayi, Victor Cruz, Brian Smith, et al and have them tell the players what it means to be a Minuteman. This program has a rich tradition and it began being destroyed with Molnar. Time to right the ship.

with Molnar do you mean Molnar 2.0 or 3.0? Coach Joe?????
Our SRS is now Charley Molnar bad..............You have now seen the light that I discovered in the last couple seasons. we have to do an SMU death penalty type thing and shut this down. There is no point in continuing this debacle. we made the move to the MAC and I don't know how to keep all the other sports other than football in an FBS conference.
If it up to me: I would shutter the football program for a few years while we get an actual stadium and have LAX in the Junkyard, dedicated to LAX. Join the Big 10 LAX only like Johns Hopkins and be a premier lacrosse and hockey school. WHERE IS THE FUCKING NIL $$$$$$??? not to players that's for sure.

Feels very much like we're reaching a watershed moment. Coach Joe is making some very strong statements and I'll be interested in seeing what changes he makes this week. Hopefully starting with firing the offense coordinator, who he was apparently forced to hire by Bamford. What have we had, 3 TD's through 6 games?

Read on twitter that UMass is having nil issues and not paying the 2-3m that Bambi promised. Anyone have any insight if this is factual?
Saw the same thing, and also that there's a tie in with basketball, which I posted in the hoops forum. If you all remember, when he crashed the press conference a couple weeks ago and announced stadium improvements, his choice of words strongly indicated that they didn't have funding for the stadium either. The money is drying up, or has already dried up, and losses like Bryant and Kent St aren't going to convince big donors to pitch in.
The claim is that Bamford’s office botched the NIL transition to in house and the money was not budgeted/allocated for the in house NIL in time. Thus, the money was not there. This resulted in creating a roster with little to no NIL money with a bunch of players being signed who were essentially low end FCS players and third string or practice players from FBS teams. Not knocking the players, they took the opportunity to jump to FBS. I am not sure when or what contributed to the DB players getting run off. Not sure if that was in preparation to spend NIL money that never materialized, or if coach H rubbed them the wrong way. The hoops tie in is that athletic department made similar clerical errors that hindered basketball and at least one clerical error, not solely NIL related, that greatly affected the hoops program. Bamford being responsible for all of this still tried to sell us on the investment and the change especially in win totals that would come this year. He is a fraud. Coach H and Ryan’s press conferences last week seem to support this. Coach H is fighting to not have his career ended as a HC based on his post game comments and is ready to get rid of those who are not on board.
Thanks for the response. This NIL issue is absolutely worthy of getting fired. That's either straight up incompetence or willful negligence. I hope it has been resolved for basketball season...
As far as the claim that Bamford hired the O Coordinator, it was on Twitter from Fight Massachusetts of 247 sports, who is a quality source and long time supporter, so it's likely true.
It's clear to me that Harasymiak has been lied to just like us, and put in a nearly impossible position and he's not going to lay down and take it anymore. It's his career and his reputation and I hope he takes the reigns and does it his way. I loved his postgame comments. That was a man that's ready to clean house and build this thing up...if Bamford will let him.

are you paying attention? Based on the recent stories about Bamford meddling with the coaching hires and completely botching the NIL rollout, it doesn't matter who's coaching. You can't win with that kind of "leadership".

I don’t think shutting down the program will solve this problem, just my opinion. I think building through HS recruiting and targeting key positions in the portal is the right way to go building the culture back. Joe needs to bring his culture to this program, it’s his career at stake.
That’s the on field side of it. Then there is the management side and we have someone who does not know how to navigate the business of college football. This program needs a GM whose sole function is to guide the business side of FBS football. RB has shown he cannot do it.

This and other posts are a healthy dialog. Despite what I 've posted, there is zero excuse by the guy hired last year to manage players NIL. Zero excuse.

shutting down the program will solve this problem of course it will.............when you don't get embarrassed every week, the problem is solved. And if it is true that the NIL money has been stolen or misappropriated then its a scandal and possibly criminal. Obviously its not going to players.
DO AN AUDIT OF THE NIL FUNDS.

For informational purposes only. There's no way he's coming here.
Penn State fired football head coach James Franklin following a 3-3 start to the 2025 season. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news Sunday. On3’s Chris Low confirmed the news as well. In the middle of his 12th season at the helm, Franklin saw his tenure end after a loss to Northwestern over the weekend.
Franklin leaves State College with a 104-45 record since 2014 when he took the job. He is 128-60 overall as a head coach, which includes his three-year stint at Vanderbilt (24-15). Terry Smith will serve as interim head coach for the rest of the season.

I do not believe anyone is accusing people of misappropriating NIL or stealing it. We are saying it never materialized and was mismanaged. The AD has not publicly stated this. The failure for it to materialize is his fault due to his and his department’s failure to complete the correct paper work. They also had difficulty once they had things set up disbursing the funds they had to the appropriate people on time. This is what I have gleaned from the various threads out there. I am not privy to any inside information.

Don Brown went 2-8 last season and had a much more competitive team than this season. There is no reason to spin those facts.
