Thank you, Bob, for all you have done for UMass. It won't be the same without you.

Boise is actually a pretty cool town. More funky (in a good way) than people would expect. Good bars. I felt right at home when I was there. It's when you leave the city limits that it starts to turn into an alien landscape. They're a little sour on Easterners, but that's understandable considering that their main exposure to them has been BC fans. If I was offered a great job there, I'd definitely give it serious consideration. Best of luck to Bob.

Was Behler's contract not renewed or was he fired or something. Everybody is supportive, but if he left for greener pastures he can go screw.

there are a number of things i'd love to say to that extremely ignorant comment, but i'll be civil and hold it to one question.
if you had a job offer at a place willing to pay more, willing to cut down on your behind-the-scenes responsibilities and willing to give you an opportunity you feel you can use to better yourself, are you trying to say you wouldn't take it?

Very sorry to see Bob go.
I would think the opportunity to do D1 A Football was appealing to him.

Wow, replace one name with another name and it sounds like what was on here quite recently.
Oh and I don't think the pasture is greener

Well, this is a downer! Bob was a great anouncer and a great ambassador for the university. Best of luck to him out in the land of Buckner.

I don't want to bog down a thread about Behler, who by all acounts was a great guy, but it's interesting to say the least to see the difference in attitude between Ford's and Behler's departure. (And yes, I do understand there are certain personality differences that affected this too, but the level of vitriol directed at Ford would seem to negate the above rationale.)

Ford was a lying prick on the way out (and while he was here to be quite honest), Behler on the other hand has been nothing but AWESOME by all accounts and standards.
Does that explain it to you?
Turns out, just because you write your name on a baby doesn't mean you get to keep it."

Bullet Bob is a hard working, talented announcer and UMass was lucky to have him as long as they did. He is an honest individual with a welcoming personality and the University will be hard pressed to find a replacement with his work ethic and integrity.
Good luck.
