I was at a Jr. High game last week with more fans. Good luck to all, but sometimes you gotta move on.

There are a lot of ex-college players in this league and there are so many teams. There are 3 different conferences with 2 divisions within each one. On a side note, a couple of years ago my friend played point guard for the San Diego team and the leading scorer on the team was Lawrence Moten.

But there's no rest for the Frenzy (9-16) who prepare to face a tall test today against 7-foor-9 giant Sun Ming Ming and the Maryland Nighthawks at 6:05 p.m. at Barnstable High. Ming, whose dream is to play in the NBA someday, is touted as the tallest man ever to play pro basketball. Since his official signing with Maryland on Feb. 1, Ming has been featured prominently in the national spotlight, including an appearance last week on NBC's ''Today Show.'' The Nighthawks, who were 12-13 heading into last night's action against the Quebec City Kebekwa, also feature Randy ''White Chocolate'' Gill.

I assume he meant to say "wow- isn't there better talent overseas?"...meaning a step up for Lamb. Just an assumption however...
