^ The kid is Somerville. He doesn't start, but he gets 25 minutes a game, averages 8 points a game and is their best 3-point shooter at 43% (21/49). He had 22 points and 5 assists for Lowell against us, coming off the bench. Also, he fouled out but it didn't matter.

As long as we're talking about the game, FSU doesn't have anyone of importance back from last year's team who killed us. The thing that worries me the most is the size of their guards/wings. They go 6'4, 6'5 and 6'7. If BC could get to the rim at will, I can see FSU doing the same unless Frank figures out how to defend it.

UMass are 10.5 point underdogs.
Should be a high scoring one, over/under is 158.5.

I think we'll have to play our best game of the season to hang with FSU. They cause a bunch of turnovers, and that's been a weakness of ours. If we're lucky, one of their two best bigs might miss the game. Steen sat out last game with a groin injury. He's their leading rebounder and shot blocker.

The spread is now up to 11.5 which means the early money is going on FSU. Might be ACC vs MAC bias, but I think they are without question the best team we've played so far. Marshall has a slightly better net ranking, but I'm not buying it.

Hoping for a good performance today... not going to be easy. I think we find out a lot about the boys today.

I'm hoping to see some improvement from the freshmen. They are talented, and I have faith they will develop. Even with how bad of an ACC team BC is, they had ACC size, and athleticism and it seemed to rattle the younger guys. I also want to see DHS play within himself and not try to do things outside his skill set more than a couple of times. Ditto that for Jayden. I think this group of players really have a team feel and compliment each other very well if they all do their jobs. I would love to see DHS and Jayden add components to their games, better shooting ability to take opponents off the dribble, etc. They just aren't there, yet. Also want to see a lower foul rate on defense.

To answer Mike's question, I'm not seeing it listed as a streaming option on ESPN+ or Hulu, so it looks like you must be subscribed to all of ESPN or just the ACC Network to get it via streaming. The twitter post from UMass Basketball does have a link, but it's impossible to tell right now if it will work without the subscription to the ACCN as part of ESPN.

ESPN Unlimited instead of ESPN select is required to stream via espn.

I believe the game is on YouTube Tv if you have that.

FSU on a 3 game losing streak and it has not been pretty....lost at home to Texas A&M by 36, at home to Georgia by 34 and at Houston by 15...ugly.
