I heard Taylor Dercack reinsured her ACL and will kiss another season. While this may be a big loss as it appeared she was going to prominent in the rotation. Also heard that Momo Lecklare left the team. I do not think that is a huge loss.
Still returning 4 of the starters from last year so I think we will be very good.

Taylor is definitely the big loss and will be hard to replace this year. I largely agree with you, though, I think we're still going to be pretty good. We may need to rely on some of the recent recruits a bit more, but Yahmani McKayle made a huge impact as a freshman last season. Hopefully we have a couple that could rise to the challenge. I look forward to seeing more of Jess Ross as well, who I think has potential.

I don't know how reliable pre-season rankings are from sources like KenPom or Torvik, but Torvik has the Women's team #1 in the MAC.

That's encouraging. We'll see how it plays out. I'm definitely looking forward to the season.

Minutewomen were picked 3rd out of the 13 in the MAC, and got 3 votes to win the conference tournament.
Megan Olbrys and Yahmani McKayle were named Second Team.

We have 4 solid starters, but most of the bench is a mystery. To finish first we need to find a starter on the wing, a reliable backup at center and help off the bench at both guard positions. Fergusen is the only returner who played any major minutes, thus the mystery of the bench. If Derkack was healthy she would be the 5th starter so losing her hurts. I feel for her with season ending injuries 2 years in a row.

I'm pumped for this season. Leflar clearly has his team on the right track. Olbrys and McKayle are going to be a great high-low combination, and with returners like Palmieri, Ferguson and Odenigbo, they should be fun to watch. McKayle was electric in her freshman season, hoping she can build on that.

Agreed. She's a bright spot for us. A10 ROY was a great accomplishment, and she's well on her way to climbing high in the UM record books, having scored 436 points in year one.

My one concern on her is that she was a bit turnover prone. She was exactly 1.0 on the Assist : Turnover ratio last season, but as a true freshman that wasn't a complete shock.

M'women were supposed to play an exhibition game today at Mullins. Apparently something in the building made that problematic: "a mechanical issue at the Mullins Center."

Game shifted to Wednesday.
