^ As an old guy who has seen 50+ seasons come to an end (but not with the impact of social media until recently), I have one bit of advice:

Don't speculate or read anything into tweets, etc. until someone makes a definitive statement. It will help you sleep much better at night. :D

That being said, it is curious timing from DD’s dad, just two days removed from the end of the season.

DD was often the last scholarship guy off the bench, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he sought more playing time elsewhere.

DD’s dad has been liking some tweets about potential transfers at least since the first SLU game on Monday. I hope he stays as he has potential, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in the portal.

Maybe McCall told DD and his dad that he would be a big part of his plans for the team. Which would seem like a lie since it was evident from DD's tape that his game was not developed enough to contribute at this level. Maybe this is why we saw him thrown out on the court in big games where he was only a liability. I think DD was a desperation recruit. (DeGray didn't commit till afterwards.) That TJ's mom thinks they've been lied to is puzzling. He's been give every opportunity to earn PT and will certainly be a big part of our plans going forward if he stays. I wonder if McCall withdrew the offer to Tyriek. Could that be it?

FWIW, definitely rumors going around that lead me to believe if McCall stays we're going to see a big exodus of players, including key ones.

Weeks mother did not like and respond to the tweet, it was Mitchell's mother.

Any of the starters or TJ leaving would be such a kick in the nuts

Correct! Tre’s mom agreed which is why it was weird! Her son certainly wasn’t lied to and I find it weird she is basically agreeing that the coach is lying? Especially when her boyfriend is the asst. and main recruiter.

As I said when I posted...it’s cryptic and hence why we r speculating!

It wasn’t all that cryptic. If “showtime dad” isn’t happy here, so be it.

I don’t get the mass exodus talk. Maybe TJ didn’t like coming off the bench this year? Aside from him and DD and Kolton, who else has a complaint or a reason to leave that is basketball related?

The only thing that worries me is the opportunity to leave without being penalized by sitting a year. If you are going to leave, nows the time to do it I guess. I’m just hoping that we keep the main guys and build a solid foundation from there.

Edit : If we do see a mass exodus, I will definitely come over to the other side RE: McCall.

Yep, mass exodus = McCall must go. I always felt that interpersonal level was his biggest weakness, based on my interactions with him and also of course my famous Jalen Krutcher story.

I agree it's senseless to read into vague social media posts. If there's something there, it'll come out one way or another. I also haven't seen or heard rumors of more than the typical amount of transfers a program sees every year - two or three.

If there's a "mass exodus," or threat of one, the administration will be in a bind. They want continuity. Heck, BC gave Christian 7 seasons, without nearly as much potential as we have now and without some of the indicators of improvement we've had (winning 7 of 8 to close last year and 5 of 6 before the final pause this year). It would come down to elevating TB or blowing up everything, which they don't want to do, especially because McCall's under contract for two more seasons in a tight financial environment.

My sense is we'll see two to three transfers, with the core returning under McCall for a make or break year.
