Good one, but Haley's Comet came around more often or me.
Raise the bar, do the minimum.

I didn't really hit a lot of those :) I just meant that I loved the sound. It was usually someone else hitting the ball.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Who voted for "golf ball hitting a tree"?? That has to be one of the most frustrating sounds in sports   I can't begin to tell you how many trees I've hit in my short golfing career, and not one time after I hit a tree did I say to myself "huh, I really liked the noise it made when my ball hit that tree." Usually, my reaction is more along the lines of: "F***! S***! Son of a b****!!" I'd vote for that if the poll question was: "What's the most frustrating sound in sports?"

I'm not the one who voted for it, but I included it because it's a cool, unmistakable sound that you can hear from several hundred yards away (usually followed by some distant expletive) and it offers some satisfaction to know that you are not the only one who can pinpoint a errant shot onto an 18-inch wide target.

It all depends which way the ball bounces... I've had my fair share of shanked drives bounce right out into the center of the fairway... I also skulled a wedge from about 80 yards out only to hit a tree behind the green and roll to about 20 feet away...

I didn't vote for it but it's not always bad

How about the sound of of an eight-oared shell being rowed well?

I do love the sound of the ball striking the back of the net!
