The parallels are (way too) many but your arguments for and against are very curiously not similar - like I just said - VERY CURIOUS?
When have I said DK was a better coach than Ford? When have I said DK was a very good coach? When have I said that Ford should have been fired for his performance at UMass? Not sure how many times I need to tell you that DK is on a short leash and I'm ready to fire him if he can't get the results this year and next, are you fucking brain dead?
No Niles, you have defended DK or deflected criticism of DK for a long time. That little blurb you posted just summarized a general accusation of Ford's failure on your part - and the parallels (your arguments) are right in line with DK's overall performance - however I do not sense the same level of dissatisfaction with DK as you show with Ford?

That is all I am saying.

Look - maybe - just maybe you really are more upset with DK's performance but do not see the good in being as vocal about it since he is our sitting coach right now - I could almost buy that. But why dismiss and defend? Just let the loud-mouths boil over and leave it alone?

You seem quick to jump on Ford's OK State record, but it is pretty similar to DK's - so where are the failure claims for that? You should not have two sets of standards - that is simply "homerism" and that is OK as long as you own it - which you have not.

This crap is making me very sad that Ford is back in the A10. I can't wait for the season to start so that we can rationally cheer or complain about results.

Sooo...... what do people think the video will be like pregame when they announce the lineups? Lots of new guys so not much video for highlights
Can't wait for season, looking forward to finally seeing Pip on the floor, highly touted DJ, the new and Improved Mt. Holloway, and the rest of the team
Just leave it all on the floor, play hard, play smart, play together and I'll be happy and results will take care of themselves
Time to Win

You read way too much into things and fill in the blanks as you see fit. I said "his ability to actually coach is debatable". Nowhere have I said DK is better and I'm not convinced that DK is better. Both have had ups and downs. In a way, I think Ford's questionable coaching skills have been highlighted moreso than DK's because Ford has been better at recruiting during his time at OSU than DK has been at UMass. His OSU teams have been very talented but the results are simply not at the level of his players.

If you put Travis Ford and Derek Kellogg in a wrestling ring for a steel cage match, who wins?

They lost to St. Louis in 06-07, but the way the article reads, Matty V is referring to the Charlotte game. If don't think they would have gotten in to the tourney if they had beaten SLU. Charlotte on the other hand, yes. I still do believe that. Forbes on the ground pounding the floor at the end of the game will forever be a memory burned in my brain.

^ I'm not sure which game he is referring to either, but I remain convinced that we had a great team when we lost to SLU. If we had gotten past them and the guys were healthy we had an excellent chance to win the A10 tourney. At worst, we make the A10 finals and get an NCAA bid. I think this was the best team we have had since the Cal days.

You may be right about the best since Cal, but hopefully we can start that argument with this current sitting group next year!
