For real? There are still basketball tournaments that haven't even started yet? Zero people will watch whatever tournament GW is in, no question in my mind.

One thing I have learned about sports is that people will watch and gamble on anything.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I don't gamble so something like that has no appeal to me. I'll probably forget that it exists by dinner time.

This went a bit under the radar - just noticed that Phil Martelli Jr. left Bryant to take on the VCU job. VCU has been a hell of a stepping stone in the coaching carousel to move on to a P5 school afterwards. Jeff Capel, Shaka Smart, Will Wade, Mike Rhoades, Ryan Odom... I'm sure that VCU fans are not too thrilled about it despite their success.

I guess we can file this here...

Not that it matters to us anymore, but SJU just went thru a super late/early coaching change, as Billy Lange reportedly takes a job with the Knicks.

UM went 3-3 against Lange at SJU, 3-0 under McCall and 0-3 under Martin, as Lange got the Hawks better over time.

Steve Donohue takes over on Hawk Hill.
UM's crossovers with Donohue:
0-1 vs him while at Cornell (2009)
2-1 vs him while at Boston College, after he replaced UM alum Al Skinner as BC's HC

Wow! Did not see this, what a blow for St. Joe's right before their season starts.

... and coaches will go on every radio show and podcast in America talking about "kids these days", and the transfer portal and NIL.

I'm sure a lot of us still pay attention to the A10, at least for this year. Here is the pre-season poll:

I'm sure we would have slotted in at about 10 this season if we were still in the league.
