Got an email form UMass today reminding me this game is in 10 days! Holy cow, that snuck up in me!

I'm excited, and nervous. This is an important game for the team this year, I'm really hoping we come out strong and get a win!

Matty's article today says Whip will use both QB's. Neither has separated themselves.....
I don't know if this is good or bad, but I am not a fan of that personally. I think you need to name a guy and let it run it's course. Both guys will be looking over their shoulder all the time and that is a confidence killer.
I happen to like Ford a lot but whatever correlates into win works for me I guess.

Based on a lot of Twitter chat, that very well might just be some gamesmanship from Whip as a defense will need to be more prepared to contain Comis than Ford. I like the competition but the adage "if you have two quarterbacks you don't have one quarterback" usually rings true for a reason.
Plus, if past seasons tell us anything both will end up starting at some point anyway. Might as well give both 1st team reps.

Excited for this one. Myself and a bunch of my buddies (all current students) will be driving up. Hope to see a win.

Also having to prepare for a lefty and righty makes it difficult to figure the strong side alignment.

Another good point - I didn't even consider that one.

If that was even remotely the case - this gamesmanship stuff would be happening a lot more often - Umass isn't even close to the only school with more than 1 viable starting QB option.
This would seem amateur-ish if that is the case - this is Big Boy football

- name a starter!

Emails have gone out on assigned tailgating spots. Let's hoist the flags and get this party started!

Excited to come to the game this Saturday, hopefully we get great weather and crowd.
FWIW, I am also not a fan of a rotating QB format, although lefty and righty is an interesting twist on things.
MA vs. Hawaii should generate some Boston media interest this week, let's hope so.

Our new partner for televising our home games, Eleven Sports, currently has our game listed on THURSDAY night at 6pm instead of Saturday on their webpage... A little concerning they have the day wrong! Luckily the DirecTV listings have it correct, so no big deal. But still, come on Eleven!
Soooo pumped for this game! Will be a key indicator on whether the program can turn the corner this year. Go U!

Any good restaurants on the S. Shore for a game watch? Hingham/Weymouth area?
