Nice to win when you don't really play that well. The kids continue to be fun to watch. Guards made too many careless/forced turnovers but that is going happen. Thought Hines played some really good minutes. Baldwin didn't get in in the 2nd half, but his minutes towards the end of the 1st half were really good and helped the team get back in it. DK made his usual in game mistakes (we looked terrible coming out of that timeout with the ball), but his move to put Berger on Enechionyia changed the game. They don't win if anyone is guarding him. I'm very anti-DK, but that was a really good move that helped win the game. That kid was dominating us. Solid win. HC will be tough in terms that they play a completely different style than us. If the game is in the 50's and 60's HC will have a chance, if we get it in the 70's and above, HC will have no chance.

fun game to watch, good atmosphere with student involvement at the end. DK used Berger well, having him in the game @ crunch time. Good effort on D most of the game. I made a bet at the end of the first half that DK would play for 1 shot and as usual, it would blow up in his face. I won the bet.

Do other D1 programs have the PA announcer double as cheer leader, ie " When I say U, you say Mass!!! ? I hate it.

Anyone got the attendance figure? Didn't look like a big crowd and student section looked weak.

Not much else to say. DK is really tinkering with lineups and it should pay off down the road. Liked what I saw from Hines tonight. Seth finally played his game -- make hustle plays and do the job on D. I almost choked when he threw the ball away toward the end of the game, but he made up for it. Deeky, get some stickum for your shoes.

I hope Chris, Donte, Rashaan and Seth are OK for Sunday. We need all of them. I thought I was watching our FB team for a while seeing so many guys go down.

Embarrassing. Thought moving Matty G to the table would of left his gimmicks in the locker with his uniform. Apparently not.

Makes us look so bush league, like a dollar beer night type of low A baseball.

That was the most disappointing thing tonight, 3732. This team deserves better.

One thing I forgot to mention, we outrebounded them 43-34 with the guards doing a great job crashing the boards. Don't be alarmed at their 13 offensive rebounds, they missed 42 shots. We had 10 offensive rebounds on only 28 misses.

Yes, primarily on PnR action. When he only has to play straight up D on a big man in the paint he's generally pretty decent (as he was tonight in those instances). But the PnR is just a mess whenever he has to defend it.

Great win tonight! I remember about 5 years ago when Khalif Wyatt torched us in the the Mullins, and we lost by like one or two points. I'm still pissed from that game. Suffice it to say, tonight gave me great joy. Thought DK did a much better job coaching tonight. Putting Berger on Enechionyia was a very smart move. Also liked the zone defense we switched to in the middle of the game. They were killing us inside for awhile. Not that it hasn't been mentioned and re-iterated like a million times, but Jarreau has serious potential. He was slipping and sliding all over the place, but his talent and his future potential is evident in his play. Not sure what happened to Pipkins' FT's tonight. For a guy who hit over 90% in high school, he didn't look very good at all from the charity stripe tonight. That being said, his rebounding was huge. Great to see him help out on the boards. I also thought Flowers played a bit too much. He didn't look very good. Berger was excellent tonight. He does all the little things. All in all, a good win for a young team!

Was nice to watch a game where they didn't blow the whistle every 5 seconds. Turned it over a bit but they played a tough, gritty game. Never got rattled and they moved the ball pretty well. Nice win against a tough Temple team that had some size and athleticism. Malik gave us some good minutes, Berger was solid, and of course Deeky was clutch at the end. Pip continues to impress me. Kid finds a way to contribute when his shot isn't falling. Good end of game management by DK, have to give credit where due. Unselfish play by this team is getting contagious and fun to watch.

Nice win. Now let string together a little run of W's

Great win, the talent is definitely there. But can we get Jarreau some new sneakers?

After the loss at Ole Miss, it was nice to see them win a close one.

After falling behind 33-23, it was Berger who triggered the 10-0 UMass run that put them in the lead. A healthy Seth Berger is important to this team's success this season.

Happy to see Holloway come back in and play well after he hobbled off the floor with what looked like a knee injury.

I was as surprised by the smallish crowd last night as I was by the relatively large crowd at the opener.

The students who were there were we're loud and involved. More of that please!

Really nice to get a win. I liked that we outrebounded them and attacked the paint in the second half.

The + side of the turnovers is that these guys haven't been playing together long in an offense that allows freedom to make plays on instincts.
