In its game against GMU, Richmond only hit 1 of 12 3's. They were banking them in against us.

So I did a deep dive back thru the record books, wondering if our 38 points was a low-water mark in A-10 Tournament history. Nope, not quite.

2006 - not one but two games of 37 points
#6 Fordham 45, #11 Richmond 37 (First Round)
#5 SJU 56, #4 SLU 37 (Quarterfinal)
This must have driven the commish crazy.

The lowest though: 34
#2 (and AP #12) Temple 54, #3 GW 34 (Semifinal)
Temple could play D, but yikes, 34.

The Temple zone was phenomenal, but if you go back and watch games you will see that nobody stretched the floor with 3s like everybody does now so the effectiveness of their zone would be greatly diminshed.
