Saw this set of tweets by Jake. Seems like he's leaving. I hope it's his decision and not a cost cutting move by you know who, and I don't mean Frank.
Jake's a good guy and his brother, Warren, has always been first class running the ticket office.
Jake Hayden @jakehayden30
Being able to impact a basketball program I grew up rooting for is an experience I am incredibly grateful for and one I will never forget.
I appreciate everyone involved with UMass Basketball. I am especially grateful for @coachFMartin and @CoachMattMcCall for their belief in me.
I’m excited for my next chapter and know a lot of it couldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the people I’ve met @UMassMBB. I look forward to seeing this team compete this year!

Frank promoted him. I can’t see this as a Frank move at all.

Yes, re Warren Hayden.
I think you all are familiar with my 61year history with UMass basketball.
I'm virtually certain that I have received a single phone call from UMass Athletics.this year, an unsolicited call from Warren, soon after I reordered my STs; making sure they will be properly distributed along with my perks
.Classy act, Warren Hayden.
My UMie wife and I, recently had a brief chat re future financial commitments, once our current ones are completed.
IMO and others who came back for the game to honor the 1995-1996 FF team this past season...me from SW FL, the Padilla brothers from PR, etc.,
it was a poorly organized cheap-out of what should have been a once-in-a-BB Program's life opportunity to impress.
The angle of incidence = the angle of reflection: REBOUND!

The Hayden family has more maroon in their blood than just about anyone I know.

I first met Warren in 2013 when he was a student manager at UMass, and we quickly became close friends. I was fortunate enough to host his bachelor party in Saratoga this June and attend his wedding in July. I met Jake when he came to UMass, also as a student manager, and like his brother, he is an exceptional person. Loyal, hardworking, and someone who genuinely cares about UMass Basketball and the people around it.

What Warren and Jake have done behind the scenes for this program over the years will never show up in a record book or press release, but the people who have been around the program know how significant their contributions have been.

Sad to see Jake leave, but was his decision and he will always be around the program in some capacity.

We need more Haydens who despite constant headwinds always contribute without an ounce of negativity and without the big $alary or PR.
